The Word → proceed from the Father
The strength → the Holy spirit
secret → strength and Fater → hidden
divine → the Word → ability to perform action → John 1:14

The work of the Holy spirit is defensive and offensive, rhema and logos, apiritual and physical.
This word cannot strengthen, except the Holy spirit strengthens it.

Strength is secret, you can not see it: it is divine.
The work that you do is the ability of this strength. the strength is the Holy spirit.

The word "secret" means "hidden" → proceed from the Father.

Divine is the ability to perform action, confidence or courage.
When you have strength you have confidence and courage. If not, you can not perform, and have no ability to perform.

The Holy spirit acts in 2 ways: defensive and offensive: rhema (spiritual) and logos (physical, things that we see).
Examples:
. When Jesus was praying in the garden, the angels came and strengthened him
Luke 22:43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him

This action of the angels was the work of the Holy spirit, to defend Jesus-Christ.

. When Daniel was thrown in the lions cage, the angels came and defended him
Daniel 6:22
My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt

Rhema → nobody sees the Holy spirit coming down into the lion cage.

When you are in trouble, it is the Holy spirit that comes to your help.
Sometimes, the Holy spirit turns to be logos to you, to attack you when you doubt.
Example:
. The king Nebuchadnezzar experienced it when he tried to kill Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego
Daniel 3:22-25
Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flames of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God

When you have your prophecy, it is rhema. And when it comes to physical, it is logos.

. The promise of Isaac to Abraham, and his birth
Genesis 15:3-4
And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir. And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir
Genesis 21:2-3
For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac


Do not use the Holy spirit anyhow, especially when you argue with someone.
The Holy ghost is always offensive with people that are defying God.

. Samson thad the same issue: he killed thousant of people.
When the Holy spirit bounces on you, you are not the same anymore, you are transfigured; even if you are a little child, you can prophecy.

When Jesus went to the mountain, he was tranfigured, changed.
So when you receive the Holy spirit in you, you are not the same again.

. When the Holy ghost came on mountain Sinai, it was not mountain anymore, it was the presence of god

Jesus was not in the heaven, in the heaven he was the Word. It is only when he came on flesh that he became Jesus.

If the Holy spirit come upon you, you will whip all your enemies within a twinkle of an eye.
The Holy spirit is the presence of God.
That is why you do not have to sin against the Holy spirit.
When you see someone prophecizing, shut up your mouth Because you don not know how the Holy spirit is moving


Deuteronomy 29:29
The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law

- The secret, divine things, belong to the Father.
The things that we see belong to us.
The secret things are for us, the strength


Psalm 88:4
I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength

- When problems are many, we cry: "there is noone that can save us, I can not make it, I have no strength".
Those that are dead have no strength, but you are alive, strengthen yourself!
Before you tell the mountain to move, a secret has to be performed → go down on your knees, and pray.
If the devil is not willing to let go, draw the devil: enough is enough. Do not let him go. This is the time for you to ask God: DEFEND Me!
Stop deceiving yourself saying to the devil: take it, I have antoher one


John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth

- Before the world, there was the Word. The Father is Elohim (plural form of one God → Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness)

Something needed to proceed from the Father. The Word of God came to the world → who arranged the world had to repair it.
Lucifer had the light, and he lost it. Jesus-Christ is the strength of the Father.
When you call the name of Jesus-Christ, the devil can not stay: because he does not know that man.
It takes people that have strength to call on the name of Jesus.

The problem of devil: he does not know how to off the power of God. He is wondering: this one is only one person, and how come that I can not stand beside him?

Joshua 14:11

- The Holy spirit never change. The Father is the same yesterday, today, and for ever. The power of God never change. As it was in the beginning, so shall it be at the end.
People used to criticize Joshua, that he is going down. But Joshua had faith that the Father will strengthen him.
Where is your strength? going down or increasing day by day?
The more you grow by knowledge, the more the Spirit grows. Do not backslide


Luke 22:43
And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him

definitions:
Life: period between birth and death
Process: gradual change

- In the life of a christian, there must be 3 major points:
donation: offer
formation: vision
appreciation: effort

Note: What we are getting daily in the midst of life process is the little donation, formation, appreciation, through prayer.
In all you need understanding, otherwise all you do is in vain.

Hebrews 13:15
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name

- If you want to gain something for yourself, you need to offer something. As God wanted to gain the Men to Him, he gave His son.
If you put a correct seed on the ground, your harvest will bring good. The way you give, it is the way you will harvest.
God offered Jesus-Christ to be killed. His beloved son.
If you want to gain, you need to offer.
The old widow that only had a penny to give to God, she gave it with effort because she had the vision of who she was giving to.
Today, christians have a lot of blessings on their shoulders, and they are even asking for more. But are you ready to give to God?

- We should not believe human praise

- God is feeding us with his word, the rest is up to you. Don't say: because of one person, you will not follow God.
Our lips need to appreciate the good things God is doing for us.
You want to be a big man, but you refuse to appreciate the word of God

- Soyez heureux si la vie vous a fait ressentir que vos forces sont limitées, cette lucidité signe le début du vrai partenariat avec le Tout-Puissant


Daniel 11:32
Il séduira par des flatteries les traîtres de l'alliance. Mais ceux du peuple qui connaîtront leur Dieu agiront avec fermeté

- Soyez fermes dans la Parole, les deux pieds bien enracinés en elle
Malgré la relation directe qu'Eve avait avec le Tout-Puissant, le serpent a réussi à la séduire en instillant le doute et la flatterie dans son coeur, car elle n'était pas totalement ancrée dans la confiance en son Dieu

- Pour avoir confiance en Dieu et demeurer ferme :
1- lisez et méditez la Bible : vous grandirez dans la connaissance de la Parole de Dieu
2- priez : en citant la Parole, votre prière sera puissante
3- pratiquez la Parole : et la Parole marchera avec vous


Marc 12:28-30
Un des scribes, qui les avait entendus discuter, sachant que Jésus avait bien répondu aux sadducéens, s'approcha, et lui demanda : Quel est le premier de tous les commandements ? Jésus répondit : Voici le premier : Écoute, Israël, le Seigneur, notre Dieu, est l'unique Seigneur ; et : Tu aimeras le Seigneur, ton Dieu, de tout ton coeur, de toute ton âme, de toute ta pensée, et de toute ta force

- Nous donner à Dieu c'est Lui ouvrir nos émotions, nos projets, notre jardin secret. C'est Le placer à la source de toutes nos motivations, de tous nos élans. C'est prier que son sceau nous garde à jamais
...Ne penser qu'à Lui quand nous le prions, et non à l'émission "à ne pas rater" qui passe, c'est aussi ça l'aimer de toute notre pensée
...Dans une journée harassante, employer de notre énergie à témoigner de Lui, c'est aussi ça lui donner toute notre force

Jacques 1:13-15
Que personne, lorsqu'il est tenté, ne dise : C'est Dieu qui me tente. Car Dieu ne peut être tenté par le mal, et il ne tente lui-même personne. Mais chacun est tenté quand il est attiré et amorcé par sa propre convoitise. Puis la convoitise, lorsqu'elle a conçu, enfante le péché ; et le péché, étant consommé, produit la mort

- Lorsque vous traversez le feu de la tentation, ne croyez pas que Dieu en est le responsable. Si vous êtes tentés, c'est à cause de vous-même : revenez au Père, il n'est jamais trop tard.


Genèse 3:1-7
Le serpent était le plus rusé de tous les animaux des champs, que l'Éternel Dieu avait faits. Il dit à la femme : Dieu a-t-il réellement dit : Vous ne mangerez pas de tous les arbres du jardin ? La femme répondit au serpent : Nous mangeons du fruit des arbres du jardin. Mais quant au fruit de l'arbre qui est au milieu du jardin, Dieu a dit : Vous n'en mangerez point et vous n'y toucherez point, de peur que vous ne mouriez.
Alors le serpent dit à la femme : Vous ne mourrez point ; mais Dieu sait que, le jour où vous en mangerez, vos yeux s'ouvriront, et que vous serez comme des dieux, connaissant le bien et le mal. - Dieu ne vient jamais à nous en personne, il utilisera toujours quelqu'un. Le diable, père tu mensonge, copie cela du Père : il peut venir à nous sous diffèrentes formes. Et au contraire de Dieu, le diable ne cherche qu'à nous détruire.
Les mauvaises moeurs corrompent les bonnes. Les gens vous conseilleront de calmer votre zèle pour Dieu, et se mettront à vous introduire dans la sphère de personnes peu recommandables.
Il est temps pour vous de voir la différence entre le bien et le mal : commencez à vous régler. Ne permettez pas au malin de vous utiliser, en aucune manière.

Faites attention à votre marche. Car sur le chemin de vos compromissions, Satan un jour ne manquera pas l'occasion de vous abattre.
Avant sa chute, Adam possédait un pouvoir que Dieu avait, celui de donner à chaque animal son nom.

Jésus vit en vous, efforcez-vous de retrouver le chemin qui conduit à Lui.
Utilisez les Ecritures pour combattre le malin.
Placez votre confiance en Dieu,
ce n'est pas Lui qui vous fait endurer les souffrances que vous traversez.


Luc 15:11-16
Il dit encore : Un homme avait deux fils. Le plus jeune dit à son père : Mon père, donne-moi la part de bien qui doit me revenir. Et le père leur partagea son bien. Peu de jours après, le plus jeune fils, ayant tout ramassé, partit pour un pays éloigné, où il dissipa son bien en vivant dans la débauche. Lorsqu'il eut tout dépensé, une grande famine survint dans ce pays, et il commença à se trouver dans le besoin. Il alla se mettre au service d'un des habitants du pays, qui l'envoya dans ses champs garder les pourceaux. Il aurait bien voulu se rassasier des carouges que mangeaient les pourceaux, mais personne ne lui en donnait.


- Aujourd'hui venir à l'église n'est qu'une option pour les chrétiens.
Les uns tirent à pile ou face pour se décider.
Les autres viennent écouter la musique, danser, juste pour s'échauffer avant d'aller à la soirée qu'ils ont programmée.

Lorsque vous êtes chrétien, vous devez accepter la correction.
Ne dites pas : nous sommes tous pécheurs, alors personne n'a à me dire ce que je dois ou ne dois pas faire.

Aujourd'hui la vie peut paraître douce. Mais un temps viendra où elle sera amère, car vous vous serez écartés de Dieu.
Un temps viendra où vous chercherez quelqu'un qui vous prêche l'évangile, et vous ne trouverez personne.
Ce jour viendra aussi soudainement qu'un voleur, restons éveillés.

Si vous faites partie du monde, il vous en coûtera votre salut.



Luc 15:17-21
Étant rentré en lui-même, il se dit : Combien de mercenaires chez mon père ont du pain en abondance, et moi, ici, je meurs de faim ! Je me lèverai, j'irai vers mon père, et je lui dirai : Mon père, j'ai péché contre le ciel et contre toi, je ne suis plus digne d'être appelé ton fils ; traite-moi comme l'un de tes mercenaires. Et il se leva, et alla vers son père. Comme il était encore loin, son père le vit et fut ému de compassion, il courut se jeter à son cou et le baisa. Peu importe dans quel état vous étiez avant de rencontrer Dieu, votre place vous attend dans la maison de votre Père.

Luc 15:22-24
Mais le père dit à ses serviteurs : Apportez vite la plus belle robe, et l'en revêtez ; mettez-lui un anneau au doigt, et des souliers aux pieds. Amenez le veau gras, et tuez-le. Mangeons et réjouissons-nous ; car mon fils que voici était mort, et il est revenu à la vie ; il était perdu, et il est retrouvé. Et ils commencèrent à se réjouir

- Le Père sera heureux de vous retrouver.
Il mettra un nouvel habit sur vos épaules : une nouvelle identité.
Une nouvelle bague : une nouvelle relation avec Lui.
Des chaussures neuves : une nouvelle marche, une nouvelle vie avec Lui.

Le Père connaît les projets qu'il a pour nous :
Jérémie 29:11 Car je connais les projets que j'ai formés sur vous, dit l'Éternel, projets de paix et non de malheur, afin de vous donner un avenir et de l'espérance.

B.E.: Verité, Dieu ne tente personne, mais l'école de Dieu c'est : la souffrance, les difficultés, les percécutions, les tribulations, les épreuves, c'est après avoir surmonté tout cela que Dieu t'élève et témoigne que tu es son enfant :
Job 1:20-21 Alors Job se leva, déchira son manteau, et se rasa la tête ; puis, se jetant par terre, il se prosterna, et dit : Je suis sorti nu du sein de ma mère, et nu je retournerai dans le sein de la terre. L'Éternel a donné, et l'Éternel a ôté ; que le nom de l'Éternel soit béni !
1 Pierre 3:17 Car il vaut mieux souffrir, si telle est la volonté de Dieu, en faisant le bien qu'en faisant le mal

-: Oui, en tant que chrétien, quand tu veux te donner entièrement à Christ, le diable tente tout pour t'affaiblir. Il règne sur ce monde, et son plan n'est pas de faciliter la tâche à ceux qui veulent suivre la Parole. Ces tentations visent à détruire ta relation avec Dieu, elles sont l'oeuvre obstinée du malin, et non pas celle de Dieu. Jésus a dit : Si quelqu'un veut venir après moi, qu'il renonce à lui-même, qu'il se charge chaque jour de sa croix, et qu'il me suive. Car celui qui voudra sauver sa vie la perdra, mais celui qui la perdra à cause de moi la sauvera (Luc 9:23-24)

Porter sa croix chaque jour, c'est chaque jour faire face à soi-même, au monde, à Dieu (malgré notre faiblesse) par la fidélité à Christ, qui nous mène au Père (Jean 14:9 Jésus lui dit :(...) Celui qui m'a vu a vu le Père) : c'est mener le bon combat de la foi.
Car, aussitôt que tu choisis Dieu, le monde essaiera de te dévaluer.
Nous avons toutes les armes pour combattre et remporter la victoire, car le Père nous aime tant qu'il ne nous laisse pas sans défense. Les souffrances et tribulations sont réalité de ce monde, mais Jésus-Christ nous a doté du bouclier ultime et incorruptible: le Saint-Esprit.
La Bible dit : Aucune tentation ne vous est survenue qui n'ait été humaine, et Dieu, qui est fidèle, ne permettra pas que vous soyez tentés au delà de vos forces ; mais avec la tentation il préparera aussi le moyen d'en sortir, afin que vous puissiez la supporter (1 Corinthiens 10-13)

Donc : aucune de nos plus terribles adversités n'est insurmontable. Car nous sommes déjà victorieux, par la foi en action avec Christ.

G.O.: C'est vrai que lorsque nous sommes tentés, ce n'est pas Dieu mais le fait de notre propre convoitise.
Je dois faire des efforts pour plaire à Dieu. Je ne réalise pas assez l'importance du salut et du Royaume de Dieu.
Mais est-ce par nos efforts que l'on puisse plaire à Dieu? Je crois que c'est l'Esprit qui agit mais que nous avons aussi une part d'effort à faire.
Par exemple lorsque je suis fortement tenté, je me souviens de Jésus dans le jardin lorsqu'il était tenté d'abandonner. Mais il a fait l'effort de résister jusqu'au sang pour faire la volonté de Dieu

James 1:13-15
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death

- When you are passing through temptations, don't think that it is because of God. If you are tempted, it is because of your own: come back to the Father, it is never too late.


Genesis 3:1-7
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons

- The devil is the father of lie, he can come in so many ways. God never comes Himself to meet us, He always uses somebody; and the devil mimic it from the Father: he will always use someone to do his tricky deeds.
Evil conversation corrupt good one. People will advice you to calm down your zele for God, and they will start introduce you to filthy men.
It is time for you to see the difference between good and bad: start regulating yourself. Do not allow the devil to use you, in any way.

Pay attention to the way you walk. Because along your way of compromises, Satan will one day bring you completely down.
Before Adam fell, he has power like God, he could give their names to the animals.

Jesus lives in you, try to know the way to come back to Him.
Use the Scriptures to fight the devil.
Put your trust in God,
He is not the one that makes you pass through hardship.


Luke 15:11-16
And he said, A certain man had two sons: And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him

- Nowadays going to church becomes an option to christians.
Some will let heads or tails decide of their coming to church.
Some come to church to listen to the music, dance, just to warm up before to go to party in the night.

When you are a christian, you have to accept correction.
Do not say : we are all sinners, so nobody has to tell me what I should do or not do.
Now, life may be sweet. But a time will come when it will taste bitter, because you will have withdrawn from God.
A time will come when you will look for somebody to preach you the gospel, and you will not find.
This day will come very suddenly, we need to stay awake.

When you are part of the world, it is going to cause you fall at the end time.


Luke 15:17-21
And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. - When you are under the law of the devil, you are not fully yourself.
It doesn't matter how you were before to meet God, your room is still there waiting for you in your father's house.
Psalm 50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.


Luke 15:22-24
But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. - The Father will be happy to receive you back again.
He will put on a new robe on your shoulders: a new identity.
A new ring: a new relationship with Him.
New shoes: a new walk, a new life with Him.

The Father knows the thoughts he has for us:
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

"La douceur"
définition: qualité de ce qui est doux ; bonté, bienveillance
doux: agréable aux sens, à l'esprit, au coeur; tempéré, affable, bon ; non fermenté; malléable

Galates 5:22-23
Mais le fruit de l'Esprit, c'est l'amour, la joie, la paix, la patience, la bonté, la bénignité, la fidélité, la douceur, la tempérance ; la loi n'est pas contre ces choses

La vraie douceur ne vient que de Dieu.
Celle qui vient de nous-même ne peut s'exercer que pour un temps, mais celle que Dieu donne dure à toujours: la douceur est un fruit de l'Esprit.

La douceur est une très grande force. Elle apporte la paix à celui qui la donne et à celui qui la reçoit.

Jacques 3:13
Lequel d'entre vous est sage et intelligent ? Qu'il montre ses oeuvres par une bonne conduite avec la douceur de la sagesse

1 Pierre 3:15
Mais sanctifiez dans vos coeurs Christ le Seigneur, étant toujours prêts à vous défendre, avec douceur et respect, devant quiconque vous demande raison de l'espérance qui est en vous


Quelqu'un de doux mesure tout ce qu'il fait. La douceur va avec le respect.
La douceur est souvent associée à celle de l'agneau, l'image du Christ : la douceur se voit, elle est palpable.

Dans le couple:
La femme au coeur doux gagnera son mari. S'il est fermé, elle l'ouvrira. S'il est rigide, elle l'assouplira. Sa douceur apportera la paix dans le foyer, il n'y aura jamais d'éclats de voix : sa douceur donnera sa place de chef de famille à l'homme.

Dans le rôle de parents:
Elle est facteur de bonne entente avec les enfants. Elle brise leur rebellion. Elle assoie le dialogue avec eux : elle forge l'assurance de leur personnalité propre.

La douceur est une folie pour le monde.
Les ennemis de la douceur:
- le besoin de privilégier le Moi, de montrer à l'autre que l'on existe. Quelqu'un qui est véritablement doux est comme effacé
- le mépris pour autrui, le manque d'Amour, l'autoritarisme: volonté d'imposer son pouvoir
- l'impatience
- le manque de sagesse
- la servilité

La douceur hypocrite est celle qui vient de la chair. Elle ne se manifeste pas à tout le monde : elle est sélective.

Quelques amis de la douceur :
- le respect : l'autre est un égal, sinon plus
- l'humilité, le pardon : exigeance de tendre l'autre joue, de ne pas rendre le mal pour le mal, de défendre au lieu d'attaquer.

La douceur pardonne.

Through social practices
[fun fair, club together, ...]

or cultural/traditional practices
[idol worshiping, festivals, rembrances, slaughtering of blood, dropping things on the graves of the dead, ...],

christians abandon God's works.

The work of God must not be abandoned.

Note: all such social and cultural practices appear harmless on the surface, but spiritually they lead innocent christians into bondage to the devil and his demons.

Caution : maintain constant faith and vigilance when you get involved in such practices. Do not create opportunity for any demon to harass you or cost you to abandon God.
If not, you will make yourself an instrument of devil.

1. SOCIAL

Nehemiah 6:2-3
That Sanballat and Geshem sent unto me, saying, Come, let us meet together in some one of the villages in the plain of Ono. But they thought to do me mischief. And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you ?

- They sent a message to Nehemiah, who is doing the work of God (repairing the temple) : so that they will distract him from God -like your friends finding excuses to meet you when you are serving God.

But Nehemiah knew that:
1- God is a jealous God
2- he can not serve Mammon and God at the same time
He did not want to be an unidentified believer: Nehemiah wanted to serve God first.

Choose who you want to serve.
Nowadays, we think of our own before God's own.
Even though you don't put God first, Jesus will remain the same: he has already died on the cross. Now it is your turn to die, taking on the cross and following Jesus.
Nehemiah said: I can't leave God today, and follow the world.

See: if God abandon you for one second, you can be sure that death will meet you

Nehemiah 6:8
Then I sent unto him, saying, There are no such things done as thou sayest, but thou feignest them out of thine own heart

Nehemiah said to them: your motive is wrong.

Nehemiah 6:9
For they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands

Nehemiah said: they are trying to weaken me.
But you have to say: please, God first

Nehemiah 6:11
And I said, Should such a man as I flee? and who is there, that, being as I am, would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in

God doesn't need you to wait for the end of your life. A man like you, should you run away, because your friends say: don't go to church?
If I do such a thing, where would I run to?

1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord

Never let anything (money, cars, sickness, women, obstacles, lasciviousness, ...) move you from the power of God, so that you will not refrain from God.

If god has saved you, you know where you were before, isn't it? Are you still there? Why?

We have to be a sticker to Jesus: following him, like a sticker to a car. We are at the back, Jesus is at front.
Anywhere you will go, Jesus is with you: he will never leave you, nor forsake you.
Never leave Jesus alone, because he is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow: no way out. So, no weapon of the devil shall prosper against you.

But when Jesus is not with you, the devil will prosper.

2 Chronicles 15:8
And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD

When Asa heard that the people has abandoned God with idol worshiping, and that God was annoyed, he took courage, and start repairing.

Christians have failed to take courage: so Jesus will never work for them. Because he works with courageous people, who stand firm in the name of Jesus.
It will not mean whether you are wearing cross or not.

Take courage: the friend of "ask" is "give". If you don't ask, you will not experience it.
Courage goes with blessing (ex: if you don't resist to the temptation of drinking, you will not know the blessing that is waiting behind).

Flee from the devil, and he will flee from you.

John 13:36-38
Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me afterwards. Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake. Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice

You see what courage brings.
Jesus said to Peter: wait this time.
The first time, Peter failed when Jesus invited him to walk on the water : before, Peter was not a sticker to Jesus. In a way, he was sinking.
Here, Jesus says : Peter, you are not ready, the cross is heavy, are you sure? Peter says: I am even going to be Jesus, and die for you. (He is so self-assured because he has healed a sick).
Peter always backslided beacause he was always thinking about his former life.

You need to deny yourself now, the decision must be taken. Nobody follows Him and go back the same.

Sing this song: "I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no turning back"

You must walk with Jesus, not Jesus that has to walk with you.
He is such a gentleman that if you don't come to Him, He will not come to you.
In his road, there are so many dangers. The road is narrow, but He is with you.

2. TRADITION AND CULTURE

1 Peter 1:18-20
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you

You know that it is not by metal or wood that you were saved, but by a precious blood, different from the blood of goats, different from jewels.

For one body, so many spirit are in you : if you have the power of cursing and affect somebody's life, you are a witch.

You want to make it in life? Choose God.
Stop deceiving yourself : marking yourself will not solve your problems.
You can stay in transe fasting for 21 days in smelly things, but 1 day of fasting for God is a problem.

Colossians 2:8
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ
